Hi, Im Ben

Im the Cheiftain of Wilson Garden Joinery, (Being a one man band, means I can give myself any title I like the sound of!)

Im a shed guy... Im that guy that would rather have a tidy workshop than have a tidy house!

I have been doing woodwork since I was a boy. My Grandad was into his woodwork and we were forever in the “Busted Knuckle Garage” building something!

I got started down this career path in my late teens. During his working life, my Dad was an agricultural fencer. Evertime I would “borrow” £20 from him in the pub, he would have me out the next day, chapping in posts to pay off my beer debt.

As much as I loved working with my Dad, I never enjoyed doing work for farms. The jobs were all function and no fashion. What I was pasionate about, was turning tired and delapedated spaces into something awesome! Building something that works really well AND looks great!

So, I took this passion and turned it into a business. I love my job, and its a great way to justify my tool addiction!
